Standard Line (Alt + T)

Creates a straight line with three control points:
  • Start point: Controls line origin
  • End point: Sets line termination
  • Middle point: Adjusts positioning precisely
Used for trendlines, support/resistance, and connecting chart points. You can also add custom text directly to the line, allowing you to label levels, trends, or key points on the chart. This text is saved in Templates, allowing you to quickly reuse labels such as supply and demand zones across charts.

Arrow

Functions like a Standard Line but adds directional emphasis:
  • Includes arrow pointer at endpoint
  • Highlights directional movement
  • Ideal for marking breakouts or trend direction

Ray

Line that extends infinitely in one direction:
  • Has starting point and direction
  • No endpoint (continues to chart edge)
  • Perfect for ongoing trendlines
  • Eliminates need to redraw as chart develops

Trend Angle

Trend Angle is a drawing tool that allows you to measure and visualize the angle of a price movement directly on the chart. It is useful for evaluating trend strength, momentum, and the steepness of price changes.
  • Angle Measurement
Displays the exact angle (in degrees) between the starting point and the projected trend line.
This helps quantify how aggressive or weak a trend is.
  • Dynamic Visualization
The angle value is shown directly on the chart near the drawing, updating in real time as you adjust the line.

Horizontal Ray (Alt + Shift + H)

Specialized ray that maintains horizontal orientation:
  • Extends infinitely to the right
  • Maintains consistent price level
  • Excellent for support/resistance levels, targets, and stop levels

Specialized Lines

  • Horizontal Line (Alt + H): Fixed price level with defined endpoints
  • Vertical Line (Alt + V): Fixed time point with defined endpoints
  • Cross Line (Alt + X): Creates intersection of horizontal and vertical lines

Parallel Channel (Alt + Shift + C)

Creates trading channel with parallel boundaries:
  • Two parallel outer lines
  • Optional middle line
  • Adjustable angle and width
  • Configurable to extend infinitely

Common Customization Options

All line tools share these settings:
  • Line properties (color, style, thickness)
  • Background color options
  • Line extension controls — extend the line left or right beyond the defined points
  • Middle Point — toggle visibility of the midpoint marker on the line
  • Synchronization levels:
    • Global (all charts)
    • Workspace (current workspace)
    • Channel (linked charts)
    • Local (current chart only)
  • Lock feature to prevent accidental changes
