What's New in August 26'

This update brings Heatmap and Footprint charts, real-time data streams and TPO profiles for Indie, bulk alert management, the Symbol Search Calculator, and upgrades to the AI Assistant and MCP server. Read on to see what’s new on the platform this month.

Heatmap Charts

Visualize order book liquidity over time directly behind your candlesticks:

• Resting Liquidity & Depth: Track where heavy limit bid/ask walls are sitting across price levels to spot institutional support and resistance zones.
• Dynamic Order Tracking: Watch in real time as resting orders are tested, filled, or cancelled as price approaches.
• Supported Pairs: Currently live across 40 of the most popular pairs in crypto on Bybit and Binance, with full control over threshold filters and custom color themes in chart style settings.

Footprint Charts

Analyze order flow directly on your candles with Footprint charts:

• Volume & Delta Profiles: Inspect traded buy and sell volume at each price level or toggle Delta volume to track directional pressure.
• Cluster Heatmaps & Levels: Highlight high-activity areas with volume-scaled cluster gradients and point-of-control (POC) markers.
• Configure display modes, threshold filters, and custom color themes in chart style settings.

Indie® Updates

• Realtime External Data Streaming: Connect live external data feeds directly into your custom Indie scripts using sources.DataFeed over WebSockets (wss://) or SSE (https://).
• TPO Market Profiles: Request native Time Price Opportunity profile data in Python using sources.Tpo(). Access Point of Control, Initial Balance high/low, and session grouping options across configurable block sizes (30m, 1h, 2h, 4h).

Combine Symbols into Charts

Build and chart custom multi-asset formulas directly from the search bar:

• Custom Spreads & Pairs: Type math expressions into search to plot synthetic instruments, cross-exchange arbitrage spreads (e.g., BINANCE:BTCUSDT - BYBIT:BTCUSDT), or ratio charts (e.g., ETHUSDT / BTCUSDT).
• Supported Math Operators: Use +, -, *, /, ^, ( ), and 1/ to track relative strength and inverted currency pairs without writing custom scripts.

Bulk Alert Management

Manage alerts across multiple symbols simultaneously without repetitive setup:

• Multi-Symbol Creation: Select multiple tickers or an entire watchlist to fan out alerts with a single condition configuration.
• Bulk Operations: Use the updated My Alerts panel to select, pause, restart, or delete multiple active or inactive alerts at once.

AI Assistant & MCP: Watchlists, Screeners & Charts

TakeProfit's AI and MCP tools now support full watchlist control:

• In-Chat Screeners: Prompt the AI to scan for criteria like top gainers and open matching screener tabs on your workspace with a single click.
• Instant Charting: Click any ticker symbol inside an assistant response to launch its chart straight onto your layout.
• Natural Language Management: Ask the AI Assistant to query live quotes across your watchlists, generate new themed lists, or add and remove symbols.
• MCP Watchlist Tools: Programmatically manage watchlists via new MCP server tools (ListWatchlists, GetWatchlist, CreateWatchlist, EditWatchlistSecurities, and DeleteWatchlist).
