FAQs

TakeProfit uses its own proprietary, in-house charting engine. Built with custom WebGL2 GPU-acceleration, the core rendering pipeline, drawing math, indicator calculations, and multi-chart widget architecture were engineered in-house for lower latency and heavy setup stability.

TakeProfit supports Candles, Line, and Bars for standard technical analysis, plus advanced order flow charts like TPO (Market Profile) and Footprint. Use multi-charts to arrange, synchronize, and compare multiple layouts side-by-side across any timeframe or asset in one workspace.

More chart types will be added as the platform evolves.

Workspaces save automatically, and limits apply per widget rather than across your entire workspace.
  • Workspaces: 2 workspaces on Free; unlimited on All-in.
  • Charts & Widgets: Unlimited on all plans.
  • Indicators per Chart: Up to 2 on Free; unlimited on All-in.
  • Bars per Chart: Up to 5,000 bars on Free; 20,000 bars on All-in.
  • Alert Limits & Duration: 1 price/technical alert (valid for 3 months) on Free; 400 non-expiring alerts on All-in.

Because limits apply per widget, you never have to remove an indicator to try another — simply open a new chart widget to get more room.

To sync your work across charts:
  • Turn on Global Sync for New Drawing on the toolbar to mirror your markups across every chart for that symbol.
  • Group charts by color/number (Groups 1–4) to selectively sync symbols, timeframes, crosshairs, and indicators, while unlinked widgets keep your technical analysis completely isolated.

Open the IDE widget, the AI Assistant, or connect your MCP, paste your existing TradingView Pine Script, MetaTrader MQL, or other legacy trading scripts, and the AI will automatically translate your code into native Indie®.

Indicator moderation for public Marketplace listing typically takes 2–4 business days. Once reviewed, you will receive an email notification either approving your script for live listing or providing actionable feedback to revise and resubmit.

You can build custom indicators without any coding knowledge using our AI Assistant or MCP integration. Simply describe your trading logic or rules in plain language, and the AI will generate compiled Indie® code, explain how it works, or debug and fix any syntax errors.

Yes. You can build custom algorithmic strategies using Indie® (our Python-based scripting language), run historical backtests with up to 20,000 candles to analyze win rates, max drawdown, and profit factors, and hook strategy triggers directly through our integrated automated bots or webhooks.

Our end-to-end latency — from receiving live market data to evaluating conditions and delivering triggers — averages ~300 ms (under 1 second in peak conditions), enabling near-instant execution when routing alerts to external trading bots.

Yes. You can automate, manage, and bulk-edit alerts via our MCP integration, or configure custom JSON webhook payloads on any chart or indicator alert to trigger your external bots and execution servers directly.

TakeProfit aggregates tick-by-tick market data directly from connected official exchange feeds and major liquidity providers. For advanced profiling tools like Volume Profile, TPO, and Footprint charts, volume is calculated and bucketed at each precise price tick — allowing you to inspect true traded delta, point of control (POC), and bid/ask volume distribution.

Volume discrepancies typically come down to data feeds. Many platforms display consolidated Tape A/B/C market volume or default to specific ECNs (like Cboe BZX or IEX), whereas others report only single-exchange prints. TakeProfit routes directly through institutional-grade market data feeds to provide transparent, real-time volume updates without artificial smoothing.
