Multi-timeframe Stochastic Oscillator with smart cross signals, B/S labels, and an optional second Stochastic on any higher timeframe. Inspired by the legendary CM_Stochastic_MTF by Chris Moody.

A professional-grade Stochastic indicator built for multi-timeframe analysis on the TakeProfit platform. Inspired by Chris Moody's widely used CM_Stochastic_MTF from TradingView, this indicator brings all of its core signal logic natively to Indie — with clean visuals and full parameter control.

How it works

The indicator plots a smoothed %K and %D Stochastic pair computed on your chosen timeframe, independent of the chart's resolution. A second Stochastic on a separate higher timeframe can be overlaid simultaneously for confluence analysis.

Signal modes

Two cross detection modes give you flexibility depending on your strategy:

  • Strict cross — triggers only when %K crosses %D while already inside the oversold or overbought zone (high-conviction signals, on by default)
  • Any cross — triggers on every %K / %D crossover, regardless of position (higher frequency, off by default)

Each mode can independently show a background highlight and/or B / S text labels directly on the chart.

Visual layout

  • %K and %D lines with configurable smoothing
  • Upper / lower band (default 80/20) with a subtle fill
  • Optional mid line at 50
  • Single priority-based background: strict cross → above/below band → any cross
  • Optional second Stochastic (orange / yellow) for HTF confluence

Key parameters

  • Length (default 14) — Stochastic lookback period
  • SmoothK / SmoothD (default 3/3) — smoothing periods for %K and %D
  • Upper / Lower (default 80/20) — overbought and oversold levels
  • Main Timeframe (default 1h) — timeframe for the primary Stochastic; set it to your chart's TF to use current resolution
  • 2nd Stochastic (off by default) — enable a second Stochastic on any independent timeframe for HTF confluence
  • Show B/S Labels (on by default) — text markers on strict cross signal bars
