Every trader knows RSI divergences — price makes a new high but RSI doesn't follow. Classic reversal signal.
The problem? Most divergence indicators either catch only one scale, miss hidden divergences entirely, or show signals so late that the move is already halfway done.
This scanner tackles all three problems at once.
What it does
The indicator scans for all four divergence types simultaneously across three pivot scales:
Regular Bullish (green) Price makes a lower low, RSI makes a higher low → potential reversal up
Regular Bearish (red) Price makes a higher high, RSI makes a lower high → potential reversal down
Hidden Bullish (cyan) Price makes a higher low, RSI makes a lower low → trend continuation up
Hidden Bearish (orange) — Price makes a lower high, RSI makes a higher high → trend continuation down
Each type is detected at three scales (Small, Medium, Large) with increasing line thickness, so you can immediately see which signals carry the most weight.
Chart shows EUR/USD on the 1-minute chart. You can see how different scales and divergence types interact, thick orange Hidden Bearish lines catching the bigger structure, while thinner red Bear lines pick up shorter-term reversals. The green Bull signals at the lows correctly identified the bounce zones.
The Early Warning System
This is the feature I'm most excited about.
Traditional pivot detection needs `n` bars on both sides for confirmation. On higher timeframes that creates massive lag — a Large pivot (n=20) on a Weekly chart needs 20 weeks of right-side confirmation. By the time the signal appears, you've missed the entire move.
The solution: Pending Divergences. The scanner looks for pivots that already have full left-side confirmation but only partial right-side confirmation (2+ bars). These show up as:
- Dashed lines instead of solid
- Muted colors instead of bright
- ? labels — like "Bull?" or "Bear?"
Chart shows this in action on ETH/USD.P (15-second chart). Look at the bottom right, there's a dashed line labeled "Bull?". That's a pending bullish divergence forming in real time. The scanner detected it before full confirmation. If it holds, it becomes a solid confirmed signal. If price invalidates it, the dashed line disappears.

Think of it as a radar for divergences that are still forming.
Settings
The defaults work well for most use cases, but you can adjust everything:
RSI Length = Standard RSI period (default 14)
-
Pivot Lookback = Separate settings for Small (5), Medium (10), and Large (20) scales
-
Show/Hide = Toggle each scale and divergence type individually
-
Pending On/Off = Enable or disable the early warning system
-
Lookback Window = How far back to draw signals (default 300 bars, increase for Weekly charts)
-
Min Bars Apart = Prevents duplicate signals too close together
Solid bright line = Confirmed divergence, fully validated
-
Dashed muted line = Pending — forming but not yet confirmed, monitor closely
-
Line thickness = Scale (thin=Small, medium=Medium, thick=Large)
-
Multiple signals at the same area = Confluence → strongest signal
The best setups happen when you get multi-scale confluence, or example, a Small and Medium bullish divergence appearing at the same price zone. Add a pending Large divergence on top and you have a very high-probability setup.
Hidden divergences are underrated. Most traders only look for regular divergences, but hidden ones are powerful for finding pullback entries in trending markets. The cyan and orange lines are your trend-continuation friends.
On higher timeframes (Daily, Weekly), the pending system is where this indicator really earns its keep. You'll see forming divergences weeks before any traditional indicator would flag them.
