Bill Williams' classic Alligator, extended with what the standard version lacks: automatic market-phase detection, filtered fractals, entry/exit signals and alerts.
What it shows
Three smoothed moving averages (SMMA), shifted forward, form the Alligator's "mouth": Jaw (13/8, blue), Teeth (8/5, red), Lips (5/3, green). The indicator reads their relative position and translates it into a clear market state:
A table in the chart corner displays the current state, line spread as a % of price, and where price sits relative to the Lips.
Fractals
Standard 5-bar fractals with Williams' filter: only "valid" ones are shown — highs above the Teeth and lows below the Teeth. Fractals inside the mouth are hidden to keep the chart clean.
Signals
Alerts
Buy, Sell, Exit Long, Exit Short and "Alligator fell asleep" — connect any of them through the standard alert menu.
