AbsorbX — Footprint Absorption & Exhaustion
AbsorbX reads TakeProfit's native Volume Footprint (buy/sell volume and trade counts at every price row) and flags two classic order-flow events directly on your chart: absorption and exhaustion.
Signals
- ABS (absorption): unusually high volume with a contained range, where one side dominates the aggressive flow but price holds. Green below the bar = sell flow absorbed; red above = buy flow absorbed. Optionally restricted to areas near a recent extreme.
- EXH (exhaustion): a new swing high/low confirmed by either a volume climax with price rejection, or a delta divergence (new extreme without aggressive follow-through).
- Big buy / Big sell (circles): rows where the average trade size is far above its recent baseline. This is a statistical proxy built from footprint data, not a tape of individual orders.
Key features
- Auto-adapts thresholds, lookbacks and cooldown to the chart time frame (inputs are the 15m reference).
- Cooldown between same-type signals to limit clustering.
- Optional big-trade confirmation.
- Signals on closed bars only by default, so markers do not disappear intrabar.
- Every threshold is adjustable.
Requirements: a time frame of 1 minute or higher on an instrument with Volume Footprint data.
Notes: the signals describe order-flow conditions and make no promise of future performance. Test and calibrate on your own markets. This is not financial advice.
