Alerts
Let alerts watch the market

Set a condition on price or on any indicator on your chart, including your own Indie® scripts. Alerts run in the cloud, keep working with the platform closed, and reach you by email, in Telegram, or through a webhook.

Pick a condition

Every alert watches a source, price or an indicator, for one of these conditions. The criteria cards link to examples.

A price level

Greater Than, Lower Than, and Crossing: price or an indicator moves past a level you set.

A sharp move

Moving Up and Moving Down: a rise or fall by a set amount or percentage within a number of bars.

A crossover

Cross Up and Cross Down: one series crosses another from below or above, such as price and a moving average.

A range

Channel conditions: price or an indicator enters, exits, stays inside, or stays outside a range.

Your own indicator

Custom indicator alerts: any indicator on the chart, including private scripts saved to My scripts.

Several conditions at once

Multiconditional alerts: price and indicator conditions in one alert, which fires when all of them are met.

Set up your first alert

Four steps take you from a condition to a notification. Each step links to the details.
  1. Step 1 of 4
    Open the alert form

Hover over the chart and click the bell, right-click the chart, or press Alt + A. The Alerts button in the top-right corner opens it too.

  2. Step 2 of 4
    Set the condition

Choose price or an indicator as the source, then the criterion and the target. Add more symbols to get the same alert on each of them.

  3. Step 3 of 4
    Choose where it reaches you

Open Expand to set how often it fires and when it expires. Then add an email, Telegram, or a webhook, and a message with variables.

  4. Step 4 of 4
    Keep track of it

My Alerts shows the status of each alert, pauses or restarts alerts in bulk, and keeps a log of every trigger.

Where notifications go

More ways to work with alerts

Alerts from your AI client

Create, pause, and review alerts in plain language through the TakeProfit MCP server.

Alert lines on the chart

Drag a price alert’s line to a new level, and choose whether lines, inactive alerts, and tickers show.

Messages with live data

Put the ticker, prices, time, and indicator values into the message, as plain text or JSON.

Limits at a glance

Good to know

  • Alerts run in the cloud. They fire with the platform closed, and you can open the chart from your phone when one arrives.
  • Several symbols make several alerts. One condition on five symbols creates five alerts. If they don’t all fit your limit, the ones that fit are still created.
  • A private script is enough. An alert works on your own indicator as soon as it is saved to My scripts, without publishing it.
  • Every condition has to be true. A multiconditional alert fires only when all of its conditions are met.
  • Deleting an alert deletes its log. Trigger history is kept for as long as the alert exists.
  • Webhooks come from two IP addresses. If your server sits behind a firewall, allowlist 32.196.192.252 and 52.70.159.39.
Alert updates are announced in the platform changelog.
