# Order Book Profile

> The Order Book Profile overlay: the live order book drawn beside price, its settings, the Heatmap Colors toggle, and the venues it is available on.

The **Order Book Profile** draws the live order book beside the price as a horizontal profile, so you can read the size resting at each level without opening a separate widget. Like the [Liquidity Heatmap](/docs/guide/platform/chart-widget/chart-types/Liquidity-heatmap) it is an overlay rather than a chart type, so it sits on top of whatever the chart is already drawing — with the same exception: it is not available on a [Renko](/docs/guide/platform/chart-widget/chart-types/Renko) chart.

It is available on **every Bybit and Binance pair, spot and derivatives alike** — a wider set than the heatmap's [supported instruments](/docs/guide/platform/chart-widget/chart-types/Liquidity-heatmap#supported-instruments), because it reads the live book instead of replaying stored history. On venues with no order-book feed, **Pepperstone** and **Exness**, the control does not appear at all.

## Settings

Click the **gear** on the on-chart **Order Book** control and the **Order Book Profile** panel opens. `Esc` closes it, and **Reset to Default** at the bottom returns every row to its default.

| Setting | What it does |
| - | - |
| **Row Size** | The price height of one row. **Auto** picks a step suited to the instrument. |
| **Opacity** | How strongly the profile is drawn over the chart, as a percentage. |
| **Width** | How far the profile extends across the chart, as a percentage. |
| **Align** | Which side of the profile the rows are anchored to. |
| **Values** | The per-row size labels, shown or hidden with the **eye**. |
| **Heatmap Colors** | Makes the profile take its colors from the Liquidity Heatmap, so the two overlays match. This row appears only while a heatmap is on the chart. Turn it off to use your own colors below. |
| **Colors** | Four swatches — the bid pair and the ask pair. The arrow resets them to the defaults. |
| **Cumulative Depth** | Draws each row as the running total of size up to that level, rather than the size resting at that level alone. |
